Markham SUN Community Schools
Welcome to Markham SUN Community School
What is SUN?
SUN stands for Schools Uniting Neighborhoods. A SUN Community School is both a place and a support hub where schools and communities work together to help children and families succeed. This is done by providing a wide range of services and resources.
Markham SUN is supported by Impact NW, our parent agency.

After School & Summer Enrichment
Are you interested in after school or summer enrichment classes? Markham SUN offers engaging programs for students throughout the school year in 8-week sessions, as well as a 4-week summer program.
Classes include a variety of activities such as fitness, art, computers, reading, and games. Programs run Monday through Thursday from 2:30–4:45 PM.
-
Registration opens about three weeks prior to each session
-
Information is sent home with students through their classroom teachers
-
Most students are enrolled in 1–2 classes per week
-
When space allows, students may attend up to 3–4 days per week
The Markham SUN after school program is donation-based and open to all Markham students.
